Terms and Conditions of Consignment

Last updated: February 2, 2025

1. Consignment Agreement
By consigning items with Worldwide Medals ("the Auction House"), you agree to the following terms and conditions. All consigned items are subject to these terms, which govern the rights and obligations of both the consignor ("you") and the Auction House.

2. Shipping and Costs
Worldwide Medals will cover the initial shipping cost for consigned items. However, upon the successful sale of your item(s), the original shipping cost will be deducted from your final payout. If the item(s) do not sell, the consignor is responsible for any return shipping costs should they wish to have their items returned.

3. Item Retention and Withdrawal
Once consigned items have been received by the Auction House, they may not be withdrawn or requested for return until the completion of the following auction cycle. Items that do not sell will be automatically relisted in the next auction unless the consignor requests otherwise.

4. Payment Terms
Payouts for successfully sold items will be made via one of the following methods, as chosen by the consignor:

  • Wire Transfer
  • Zelle
  • Check
All payouts will be processed within a reasonable period after the conclusion of the auction and receipt of payment from the buyer.

5. Dispute Resolution & Buyer's Default
If there is a dispute regarding a transaction, the Auction House will actively work to resolve the dispute for a maximum of 30 days. If the dispute remains unresolved after this period, the transaction will be canceled, and the item(s) will be relisted in the next auction unless the consignor requests that we continue pursuing the dispute. The same policy applies in cases of buyer default.

6. Liability and Risk
The Auction House is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage that may occur during the shipping process, either to or from our location. Consignors are encouraged to use appropriate packaging and consider purchasing insurance for their items when shipping them to the Auction House.

7. Authentication & Counterfeits
If the Auction House deems an item counterfeit or unoriginal, we reserve the right to return the item at the consignor's cost. In such cases, we will provide an official appraisal document deeming the item inauthentic.

8. Marketing & Photography Rights
The Auction House reserves the right to photograph, market, and describe all consigned items at its discretion. Once an item is listed, the consignor may not dictate how it is marketed or promoted. Images and descriptions created by the Auction House remain its intellectual property and may be used for promotional purposes.

9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Auction House operates. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through arbitration or legal proceedings in the applicable jurisdiction.

10. Amendments
Worldwide Medals reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to consignors in a timely manner.

By consigning items to Worldwide Medals, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
